360 Founder Zhou Hongyi Responds to Children's Watch Incident

TapTechNews August 25th, the founder of 360, Zhou Hongyi, posted again yesterday in response to the 360 children's watch incorrect Q&A incident, stating that the product manager has been punished to answer customer service calls for 1 month.

Zhou Hongyi said that there were two ideas for making the product at that time. One was to hard-code the questions and give users a pre-written standard answer. This way would not make mistakes, but we thought it would not be of much help to children. So the product manager chose to use publicly available information on the internet. Because domestic websites have been constantly cleaning up bad content, we thought it would not make mistakes, but unexpectedly, some answers with incorrect values still got mixed in.

TapTechNews previously reported that a certain model of 360 children's watch had incorrect answers during use. Zhou Hongyi said that this model of watch was released in May 2022, not an AI version, and used an old version of the software to answer questions by grabbing information through publicly available channels on the internet. The internet information grabbed this time had serious problems, which led to incorrect answers. Currently, the rectification has been completed quickly, and all the harmful information on the relevant websites cited in the user feedback has been deleted.
