Chinese Railway Adds 20 More 'Silent Compartment' Trains

TapTechNews June 6th news, the Chinese railway mini-platform announced today that starting from June 20th, the number of bullet trains providing the 'ilent compartment' service will be increased by 20 to 92 EMU trains to better meet the needs of passengers for a wonderful travel life.

In order to create a civilized, orderly, warm and comfortable travel environment, the railway department piloted the 'ilent compartment' service on the Beijing-Shanghai and Chengdu-Chongqing high-speed rails since December 2020, and gradually expanded it to the Beijing-Guangzhou, Zhengzhou-Chongqing, Beijing-Harbin, Shanghai-Kunming and Xi'an-Chengdu high-speed rails.

To further improve the quality of high-speed rail operation services and optimize the travel experience of passengers, the railway department continues to expand the coverage of the 'ilent compartment' service. On high-speed rail lines such as the Beijing-Guangzhou, Shanghai-Kunming, and Guiyang-Nanning, 20 new Fuxing EMU trains will be added to provide this service, including 4 cross-border high-speed rail trains running between the Chinese mainland and Hong Kong, and more passengers will experience the 'ilent compartment' service.

The tickets of related trains started to be sold today (June 6th).
