According to the introduction, this car uses power lithium iron phosphate battery as the vehicle's traction battery, with a battery capacity of 800 kWh, and the comprehensive cruising range can reach 120 kilometers (about 75 miles), and it is equipped with a fully automatic fire protection system.

The traction motor adopts permanent magnet synchronous motor, which can start and pass on a 50% grade with a single machine towing 220 tons, and the passing speed is not lower than 10 kilometers per hour (about 6.2 miles per hour). The traction system adopts a fully enclosed liquid-cooling mode. Compared with the air-cooling mode, the liquid-cooling unit has low noise, good cooling effect, and high energy utilization rate.

The whole vehicle is configured with energy feedback braking. When the locomotive brakes, the braking energy is recovered and converted into electrical energy and stored in the battery to improve the cruising range and operating efficiency. The whole vehicle is designed with two sets of independent power battery groups and traction drive systems, which can operate simultaneously or independently according to the traction working condition requirements.

Compared with traditional diesel locomotives, the new energy locomotive has low operating cost. According to statistics, to complete the same amount of work, the electricity cost of the new energy locomotive is only 10% of the fuel cost of the diesel locomotive.
