After the launch of Sichuan Airlines and Xiamen Airlines, the number of salable routes of Railway 12306 air-rail intermodal has increased by more than 500. Up to now, the air tickets and air-rail intermodal product sales of the domestic routes of China Eastern Airlines, Air China, China Southern Airlines, Spring Airlines, Sichuan Airlines, and Xiamen Airlines have been launched on Railway 12306 air-rail intermodal. The air-rail intermodal service has covered 157 transfer stations in 80 hub cities and 2482 accessible routes in China.

In June this year, the National Railway Group and the Civil Aviation Administration signed the Strategic Cooperation Agreement on Promoting the High-Quality Development of Air-Rail Intermodal Transport, and the two sides will further deepen reform and innovation, accelerate the high-quality development of air-rail intermodal transport, continuously improve the transportation efficiency of civil aviation and railways, expand the scope of passenger services, and improve the accessibility of the transportation network to meet the needs of passengers for high-quality travel.

In terms of top-level planning, the two sides will strengthen the air-rail intermodal planning with coordinated connections, aiming at building a modern national comprehensive transportation system, continuously improving the top-level design, and gradually building a planning policy system that supports the integrated connection and high-quality development of civil aviation and railways.

In terms of facility construction, the two sides will jointly build an integrated air-rail intermodal facility, and orderly promote the connection between railways and airports, and jointly build a convenient, smooth, economically efficient, safe and reliable, and green and intelligent comprehensive transportation hub.

In terms of product design, the two sides will promote the realization of one-time purchase, one-time payment, one-certificate (code) pass in a wider field and a larger scope, and support the two sides' enterprises to continuously strengthen cooperation in frequent flyer programs, special passenger protection, service quality, etc.

In terms of passenger service, the two sides will provide passengers with convenient and comfortable air-rail intermodal service, set up transfer service centers in airports and railway stations as needed, and encourage airlines, airports, railway stations, etc. to innovate service processes, enrich service contents, and expand service scopes in aspects such as transfer connection, fast security check, check-in, VIP service, and luggage storage. The two sides will also improve the comprehensive collaborative emergency respon se and handling capabilities in the case of natural disasters and major emergencies.

In terms of information interconnection and interoperability, the two sides will steadily promote the docking of the information systems of both sides, strengthen the sharing, analysis and research of intermodal transport data information.

In terms of pilot demonstration, the two sides will accelerate the air-rail intermodal demonstration pilot project, form a number of multi-level and high-quality air-rail intermodal brands, and promote quality improvement and expansion through pilot demonstration.

In terms of standard specification, the two sides will jointly establish and improve the statistical and standard system, establish a unified air-rail intermodal statistical standard, improve the passenger intermodal transport standard system, and actively promote the preparation of national and industry standards in aspects such as hub construction, coordinated operation, information interaction, and service guarantee.
