On the morning of July 15th, Tu Sulan, a candidate admitted to the Chemistry (Strengthening Foundation Program Class) of South China University of Technology, as well as Zhong Mingcheng, Wang Yunyi, and Li Jinquan who were admitted to the Sports Training major, were in Vanke Mountain View City, Huangpu District, Guangzhou, 'eagerly awaiting', because their admission letters would 'come down from the sky happily'.
It is introduced that this delivery does not require manual control by professional pilots throughout the whole process, but through the system route setting in the flight control center at the back end of the drone.
At 11 a.m., the admissions office staff handed over the sealed admission letters to the postal staff, and then the drone carrying 4 admission letters took off from the Wushan Campus of South China University of Technology and went straight to Huangpu.
After more than 30 minutes, the drone successfully arrived at the landing point, and the postal staff took out the admission letters and completed the signing procedure together with Tu Sulan and other students.
It is understood that this is the first batch of college admission letters delivered by drones throughout the whole process in the country.
