Singapore Airlines Boeing 787 Had an Incident at Narita Airport

TapTechNews August 13th news, at around 7:50 am local time on August 12, the fire department in Narita City, Chiba Prefecture, Japan received a report that the left engine of a Boeing 787 passenger plane of Singapore Airlines (SIA) emitted black smoke after landing on Runway B of Narita Airport.

According to CCTV News report, the latest response from SIA said that the incident was due to a technical problem in the braking system, and the problem has been resolved for now. SIA stated that the ground engineering team replaced one tire and the problem has been resolved.

The Singapore Airlines flight SQ638 had thick smoke emitting from the left engine when it landed on the runway of Japan's Tokyo Narita Airport in the morning of August 12, Narita Airport confirmed that there were no casualties.

TapTechNews found out that the flight number of the involved passenger plane is SQ638, flying from Singapore to Narita, with a total of 260 passengers and 16 crew members. In order to tow the plane, Runway B of Narita Airport was closed for about 50 minutes once. This problem caused the return flight SQ637 to be delayed by more than two hours.
