In June, China Accepted 19.923 Million Items of Illegal and Bad Information Reports

TapTechNews July 11th news, the Reporting Center of the Cyberspace Administration of China announced this afternoon that in June this year, the Reporting Center of the Cyberspace Administration of China guided the national-level network information reporting work departments at all levels and major website platforms to accept netizens' reports of illegal and bad information such as pornographic, gambling, infringement, and rumors 19.923 million items, a decrease of 1.3% month-on-month and an increase of 12% year-on-year.

The Reporting Center of the Cyberspace Administration of China accepted 469,000 items of reports, an increase of 25.4% month-on-month and a decrease of 5.4% year-on-year;

Local network information reporting work departments accepted 1.273 million items of reports, an increase of 2.8% month-on-month and an increase of 84.5% year-on-year;

Major national website platforms accepted 18.181 million items of reports, a decrease of 2.1% month-on-month and an increase of 9.5% year-on-year;

Among the reports accepted by major website platforms across the country, the main commercial website platforms accounted for 92.9%, reaching 16.896 million items.

According to TapTechNews' previous report, In May this year, the national acceptance of reports of illegal and bad information such as pornographic, gambling, infringement, and rumors was 20.191 million items, an increase of 0.6% month-on-month and an increase of 21.7% year-on-year. In June 2023, the national acceptance of network illegal and bad information reports was 17.794 million items, an increase of 7.2% month-on-month and an increase of 18.7% year-on-year.
