Holz updated the Midjourney Version 7.0 timeline and said it will be released in the next 1-2 months.

Holz said the company is not in a hurry to launch a new AI model, but to improve the ease of use of existing technologies and let the tools deeply integrate into the daily work of professionals.

New image editor
Midjourney is currently developing an image editor that allows users to edit external images using the smearing and expansion functions.

3D system
Holz introduced in a more ambitious project that Midjourney is developing a 3D system that allows users to immerse themselves virtually in AI images.
They did not use polygonal rendering, NeRFs or Gaussian jet techniques, but created a new NeRF-like format.
The team is led by a person who played a key role in the invention of NeRF, which led some to guess that it might be Alex Evans, the former Nvidia researcher who joined Midjourney last year.
Personalized style
