Tap Tech News reported on June 26th. On June 24th local time, the world-renowned toy store Toys R Us released the world's first promotional video The Origin of Toys R Us produced by using OpenAI's video-generating large model Sora.

It is said that the film The Origin of Toys R Us has Kim Miller Olko, a four-time Emmy Award-winning producer and president of Toys R Us Studios, as the executive producer, and Nik Kleverov of NativeForeign as the director. Sora is capable of generating videos up to one minute long, and this generated video contains realistic scenes and multiple characters, all based on user-entered instructions. This brand promotional video tells the story of the founder of Toys R Us, Charles Lazarus, and his concept of completely transforming the toy store industry. In the film, the store's mascot, Geoffrey the Giraffe, walks towards the protagonist in a dream, making generations of children feel extremely delighted.

According to Tap Tech News' previous report, Sora can generate relatively high-quality videos quickly based on text, but industry experts believe that currently these types of AI tools still have limitations and cannot fully replace the work of human creators.

A member of the Sora core team once said that its working principle is to analyze a large amount of video data and learn to generate realistic videos. The working method combines the technologies of large language models such as GPT and diffusion models such as DALL-E, and the architecture is similar to in between - more like GPT in architecture and similar to DALL-E in training approach.

Regarding the source of training data for Sora, the person in charge said that not too many details can be revealed, only stating that it is trained based on a combination of publicly available data and OpenAI-authorized data.
