Yiwei Hydrogen Energy Releases 'Wukong' Series AEM Hydrogen Production System
TapTechNews August 15th news, on August 8th, at the 2024 Second World Hydrogen Energy Industry Expo, Yiwei Hydrogen Energy Company released the "Wukong" series of AEM hydrogen production system products.
According to the introduction, the "Wukong" series of AEM hydrogen production system is designed based on the company's self-developed AEM membrane electrode, AEM electrolyzer and system architecture. TapTechNews attaches the official introduction as follows:
The core of the "Wukong" system is the hydrogen production module, which is a module unit composed of a 5kW AEM electrolyzer and a BOP system. It can operate independently by connecting to 220V mains electricity, and the hydrogen production rate can reach 1 cubic meter per hour, and the size is 0.45 × 0.45 × 0.65 meters (TapTechNews note: Standard cubic meter (Nm³) refers to the volume of the gas under standard conditions to eliminate the influence of temperature and pressure changes on the measurement).
At the same time, Yiwei Hydrogen Energy has launched a cabinet-type hydrogen production system that integrates the power supply system, water supply system and drying system on the basis of the product.
Moreover, Yiwei Hydrogen Energy has created a container-type hydrogen production system on the basis of the cabinet-type hydrogen production system. The auxiliary system adopts a centralized design, and the hydrogen production modules are stacked according to the actual needs, which is suitable for the hydrogen production scene requirements of 1-200 Nm³.
In terms of start-up performance, the "Wukong" system can allegedly reach 100% load rated working condition in 20 minutes under cold conditions, and the hot start is a second-level response.
Taking the distributed photovoltaic off-grid coupling hydrogen production as an example, this is a typical photovoltaic daily output curve. The effective sunshine duration in a day is about 6-8 hours. The "Wukong" system is said to be able to increase the utilization hours by 0.5-1 hour per day.
In addition, the "Wukong" system also carrie s the AEM membrane electrode independently developed and mass-produced by Yiwei Hydrogen Energy, and the direct current consumption is as low as 4.5 kWh/Nm³.
