In June this year, Xiaomi Technology sued Qingdao Xiaomi, requiring Qingdao Xiaomi to change its corporate name and not contain the word Xiaomi in the changed name, and claiming 50,000 yuan. In response, the legal person of Qingdao Xiaomi said, When I received the complaint, I felt inexplicably 'being shot while lying down'. First of all, my company was legally registered with the industrial and commercial department. Secondly, my company has not actually operated at all after registration, so how can there be any talk of unfair competition. It is known that Qingdao Xiaomi Automobile Sales and Service Co., Ltd. was established in July 2016 with a registered capital of 1 million Chinese yuan and is jointly held by two natural persons, and it has no equity association with Xiaomi-related companies.

TapTechNews noticed that in June this year, Xiaomi Technology also sued Lishui City Xiaomi Intelligent Technology Co., Ltd. on the grounds of trademark infringement and unfair competition, requiring Lishui Xiaomi to stop using the word Xiaomi and claiming 5 million yuan. On July 30th, the first instance of this case was opened in court, and currently there is no judgment result yet.
