Open-Sora The First Sora-like Open-Source Replication Scheme

TapTechNews June 28th news, as the world's first open-source replication scheme similar to Sora (the text-to-video generation model of OpenAI), Open-Sora can generate videos based on text on the Nvidia RTX 3090 GPU, with a maximum resolution of 240P and a maximum video duration of 4 seconds.

The GPU cloud service provider Backprop handling AI tasks showed the AI environment based on Open-Sora V1.2 and demonstrated 4 videos generated based on prompt words.

Backprop said: On the RTX 3090 GPU, users can generate videos with a maximum of 240p and a duration of 4 seconds. It takes about 30 seconds to generate a 2-second video and about 60 seconds for a 4-second video. For the 424x240 output, this is already quite a lot of computing power, and the 4-second video output approaches 10 million pixels.

TapTechNews note: The GeForce RTX 3090 was once Nvidia's flagship GPU and is still powerful even today, equipped with 24GB of GDDR6 memory, which is sufficient to handle most complex AI scene tasks.
