According to TapTechNews' inquiry, after the full commissioning and power generation of the project, it is expected that the annual power generation can reach 3.212 billion kWh, which can save about 1.28 million tons of standard coal and reduce about 3.2 million tons of carbon dioxide emissions every year, providing economical and affordable clean electric power for more than 1 million Pakistani households.

The SK Hydropower Station in Pakistan was o fficially approved and started construction on December 31, 2016, and it is expected to achieve full unit commissioning and power generation by the end of August 2024. During the construction process of the project, the constructors of China Energy Construction have created engineering miracles such as the world's deepest shaft group with the highest head under construction, with a downward excavation depth of more than 240 floors and a diameter of less than 6 meters (about 19.69 feet).
