China's Computing Network Transport Capacity Index Report 2024 Released

TapTechNews September 28th news, the China Academy of Information and Communications Technology (CAICT) today released the Evaluation Report of Computing Network Transport Capacity Index (2024) at the 2024 China Computing Power Conference - All-Optical Quality Transport Sub-Forum.

TapTechNews attached the main contents of the report as follows:

Comprehensively evaluating five transport capacity indices including delay compliance rate, the number of high-speed optical transmission network ports, optical layer capacity, IP layer capacity, and the coverage rate of OTN at comprehensive access nodes, the comprehensive transport capacity level of Guangdong, Jiangsu, Hubei, Sichuan, Zhejiang, Shandong, Hebei, Shanghai, Guizhou, and Yunnan ranks in the top 10.

In terms of the delay compliance rate, the delay situation between hubs and from hubs to various cities is good, each hub has basically formed a 20-ms delay circle covering most of the provinces and cities across the country, and a 5-ms delay circle covering surrounding provinces and cities, and the delay performance of the optical layer and IP layer in some provinces and cities needs to be further optimized.

In terms of the number of high-speed optical transmission network ports, facing the large-bandwidth transmission demand such as intelligent computing business, the number and proportion of high-speed ports continue to increase; the number of 400G ports in provincial trunk lines has nearly 9000, accounting for 4%; only 7 provinces including Beijing and Jiangsu have deployed 400G ports in provincial trunk lines, with great potential for development.
