TapTechNews July 31, it was reported that the official public account of Offshore Oil Engineering Co., Ltd. released a blog post yesterday (July 30), announcing that the world's largest fully sitting LNG storage tank (weighing about 1200 tons) was lifted to the top in Ningbo Green Energy Port of CNOOC in China.
TapTechNews quoted the official report that the design and construction of liquefied natural gas storage tanks is one of the cutting-edge technologies in the energy field. The lifting operation is to use the principle of the pressure difference between the closed space and the outside world, and blow the dome up through micro-pressure air, and assist the dome to be lifted to the designated position through pulley devices.
The horizontal error and deviation during the dome rising need to be controlled within 50 millimeters, which is the most technically difficult and risky process in the construction of liquefied natural gas storage tanks.
To ensure the safety and stability of the lifting operation, the project team conducts real-time monitoring of multiple systems and precisely controls parameters such as air pressure and rate during the tank lifting; during the operation, the horizontal offset and rotation deviation accuracy of the dome is controlled within 5 millimeters, and the positioning accuracy meets the highest industry standard.
The Ningbo Green Energy Port Phase III project that completed the lifting this time, the liquefied natural gas storage tank is 62.6 meters high, with a diameter of nearly 100 meters and a tank capacity of 270,000 cubic meters, which can store 169 million cubic meters of natural gas, and the storage tank is designed to have a service life of 50 years.
The Ningbo Green Energy Port Phase III project has a total of 3 storage tanks and innovatively adopts a full sitting design and construction plan. This plan has significant advantages such as high stability, low construction cost, and convenient maintenance, and at the same time has characteristics such as strict site selection requirements, high anti-corrosion requirements, and difficult temperature control.
The project team has successively overcome technical problems such as tank seismic resistance and cap corrosion protection. Among them, 12 technical achievements have filled domestic gaps and reached the world's advanced level.
The CNOOC Ningbo Green Energy Port is a key planned project for the construction of the national natural gas production, supply, storage and sales system and interconnection. After the Phase III project is put into operation, it will achieve interconnection with the Phase I and Phase II projects, and build a national million-ton-level liquefied natural gas storage and transportation base.
The project will further optimize the energy structure in East China, and at the same time can greatly improve the capacity of regular supply, peak shaving reserve and emergency supply guarantee of natural gas in the Yangtze River Economic Belt.
