TapTechNews June 22nd news, the Hydrogen Technology Development Co., Ltd. of SPIC announced today that the Xihai Xinyuan No. 1 commercial hydrogen fuel cell-powered pleasure boat has been delivered for use.

Xihai Xinyuan No. 1 is the first hydrogen-powered tourism and business boat in China, and it was officially delivered to the Jiangxi Lushan West Sea Tourism Development Group for operation today, used for business tourism and environmental monitoring in Lushan West Sea.

The boat was independently R & D and designed by SPIC Hydrogen Technology in cooperation with domestic enterprises such as Jiujiang Lake Center Technology Industry Development Co., Ltd. The main power of the ship adopts the Hydrogen Teng marine hydrogen fuel cell system independently R & D by SPIC Hydrogen Technology, with a net output power of 240 kW (about 322 horsepower), which is specifically developed for marine application scenarios, and the localization rate of components is 100%.

TapTechNews learned from the official announcement that the total length of the ship is 23.65 meters (about 77.6 feet), the molded width is 5.5 meters (about 18 feet), the molded depth is 2.4 meters (about 7.9 feet), the designed draft is 0.95 meters (about 3.1 feet), it can carry 22 passengers, and the maximum speed is 25 km/h (about 15.5 mph), the whole ship is of aluminum alloy structure, and it adopts double motor and double propeller propulsion. The ship's power is composed of a hybrid dual-power system of hydrogen fuel cells and lithium batteries, with the characteristics of zero pollution and zero emissions, high comfort, low energy consumption, and low noise.
